Comfort
- Anatomical cut: The anatomical, pre-shaped cut of the OPTIMA wetsuit has been designed to provide a snug fit for divers, offering maximum freedom of movement while minimising the formation of water pockets. This guarantees constant comfort throughout your dive.
- Freedom of movement underwater: Made from Elaskin X.6.2 stretch neoprene and Elaskin X.6.4 (softer) under the arms, it gives divers great ease of movement.
- A zip-free collar with a specific cut-out for the glottis to maximise comfort. The Optima collar allows great freedom of movement, essential for divers who often have to bend over or turn their head to observe the underwater environment. The absence of a zip at the collar also helps to avoid water entry points.
Thermal comfort :
- Reduced water ingress: Improved smooth neoprene finishes on the cuffs and ankles minimise water ingress, improving thermal insulation for longer, more comfortable dives.
- Intermediate sizes: Intermediate sizes provide a precise fit for different body shapes. This adaptation not only improves comfort thanks to a perfect fit, but also thermal performance.
An optimised fit prevents creases and therefore the formation of water pockets, a potential source of discomfort and chilling. This provides good thermal insulation.
Durability :
- Abrasion resistance: PU protection on sensitive areas such as the buttocks and shoulders, and Supratex 2 reinforcements on the knees, mean that this suit guarantees you exceptional durability, even in the most demanding environments such as the underwater environment.
- On the OPTIMA 7mm: Long sleeve with Easy Wave system technology at the ankles and wrist for superior elasticity and reinforced tear resistance.
- Optima 5mm: Rolled edges in smooth neoprene at the handles and pegs ensure optimum watertightness.

- Eco-friendly neoprene: True to its commitment to the environment, Beuchat has chosen an eco-friendly neoprene made from limestone and recycled rubber. The manufacturing process is designed to reduce the ecological footprint. In the end, 24% less CO2 is emitted per suit manufactured.
- Dope Dyed: OPTIMA uses "Dope Dyed" technology. This technology consists of adding the dye directly to the polymer granules before spinning, giving a uniform, deep colour. This process also reduces the ecological impact by cutting water consumption by 35% to 40% compared with conventional dyeing, while maintaining durability and optimum colouring.
